How to apply
Four steps in the same portal our filmmakers use. It saves as you go, so you can stop and come back to it.
Start your application Applications close 13 November at 23:59.

Have these ready
- Your South African ID number (or your passport if you are not South African), and a parent or guardian's details if you are under 18.
- The title of the work, and the company or group name if you have one.
- How long it runs and how many people perform or facilitate.
- A short description of what happens on stage, and your technical needs.
- A link to a video or audio recording of this work or recent work.
The four steps
-
Sign in with your email
No password. We email you a six-digit code.
-
Tell us about you
Contact details and ID, once.
-
Describe your work
What happens on stage, who is in it, how long it runs and what you need technically.
-
Share a sample and submit
Paste a link to a video or audio recording. You get a reference number by email.
Sharing your sample
A phone recording is fine. We want to see and hear the work, not a polished video. The link must open without asking us to log in, and keep working until 5 December.
YouTube
Upload and set Visibility to Unlisted. Private won't open for us.
Google Drive
Share, then General access: Anyone with the link, Viewer.
SoundCloud or Vimeo
Use a private share link, and add the password in the portal if there is one.
Not sure the link works? Open it in a private browser window where you aren't signed in. If it asks you to log in there, it will ask us too.
