Apply to perform

Find your stage

Artists, theatre-makers, performers, musicians, dancers, storytellers and facilitators from Limpopo and across South Africa. One application can go into more than one category.

Dancers mid-movement between two drummers, in black and white.

The five categories

Theatre

Plays, physical theatre, devised work and community theatre.

Tell us how long it runs and how many people are on stage.

Dance

Traditional and contemporary dance, solo or ensemble.

Tshikona, tshigombela, malende, contemporary and everything between.

Music and Live Performance

Live music, choirs, drumming and performance art.

A recording of a live set helps us more than a studio track.

Storytelling and Spoken Word

Storytelling under the shade, poetry, praise poetry (zwirendo) and spoken word.

In any South African language.

Workshops and Masterclasses

Facilitators proposing a workshop, masterclass or talk.

Tell us who it's for, how many people can take part and what they'll leave with.

Groups and companies

One person applies for the whole group. Give the company name, list the people who will be on stage, and tell us what you need technically: sound, light, space, set-up time.

If anyone performing is under 18, a parent or guardian gives consent in the portal.

Performance fees

The application has an optional box for the fee you would ask to perform. Fill it in if you need one. The festival will tell selected artists whether fees are available.

You can send up to five applications, separate from any films you enter.

Applications are free and close at 23:59 on 13 November.
